An Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB) credit report is a document that includes your personal identity information, details of your credit cards, loans, and other credit facilities, along with your payment and bounced cheque history. The information in your credit report is provided by banks, finance companies, telecom companies, and other entities such as utilities, real estate, and government. The report is used by financial institutions to assess the credit standing of an individual or a company when reviewing an application for a loan, credit card, or other credit facility.
As an individual, you can request a credit report by visiting one of the Al Etihad Credit Bureau customer service centres and providing your original Emirates ID card and passport copy. You can pay with credit, debit, or eDirham cards. Alternatively, you can get your credit report anytime and anywhere using their online services or by downloading their AECB CreditReport app. Once you have created an account on the AECB website or app and provided some personal information such as your Emirates ID, mobile number, and email address, you can request a credit report that includes your credit score.
The credit score is a three-digit number that predicts the likelihood of an individual or a company missing payments in the next 12 months. It ranges from 300 to 900 and the higher your score the lower the level of risk. The score is generated using statistical models that factor multiple data points from your credit profile.
